Payroll Certified Administrator program helps beginners and intermediate HR professionals learn the basic payroll requirements.
Organizations can’t function without employees, and human resource management is the process of managing people in organizations in a structured and thorough manner.
Payroll function requires accurate and timely processing of payslips. It is essential for companies to track their human resources from hire to retire and hence right from the candidate sourcing to interviews to joining duty to payroll computation, HR policies and procedures have to be followed.
Payroll goes beyond issuing checks. Payroll specialists must know the legalities of exempt versus non-exempt employees; how to deduct taxes; how to make deductions for health benefits; which employees are entitled to or took a vacation or sick days; and how to handle wage garnishments or child support payments.
The course is designed to ensure you get a thorough understanding and control of the complete cycle from hire to retire and computation of payroll.
The cycle starts with candidate sourcing, interviews, offer letter, joining duty, induction training, and payroll computation considering basic pay, allowances, and deductions, unique benefits to performance appraisal, promotion, and retirement.
The objective of the course is to ensure that you have full visibility of the tasks and stages in the process, you are able manager HR and Payroll function and enable the management with required data to make better decisions in managing human resources.
The Program includes descriptions of the various requirements, processes, and procedures, as well as numerous examples, organizational tips, and interactive Q&A to help provide valuable insight into compliance requirements.
Once completed, certified payroll training courses can lead to a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
This Program also qualifies for eight hours of HRCI re-certification credits.

YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO

Determine the needed documentation in the payroll cycle

Prepare and reconcile the monthly payroll

Properly “classify” workers

Calculate gross pay and properly make deductions

Administer deferred compensation, cafeteria-cafeteria plan, sick pay, and other compensation

Handle stock options, expense reimbursements, relocation, and other “expenses.”

Follow the proper policies, procedures, and documentation requirements for garnishments and levies

Correctly complete year-end requirements and establish year-beginning requirements

Implement and maintain fraud, audit, disaster recovery, and record retention processes and procedures

Calculate contributions based on different assumptions for employer and employee

Perform “What If” analysis related to employee benefits

Develop monthly and annual payroll budget

Design periodic payroll management reports and analysis

Assist the accounting department in controlling and auditing payroll payments

IMPORTANT COURSE INFORMATION

Participants who fully attend this course and complete the test on the last day will receive a Strategic Axis Professional Certificate (SAPC). SAPC certificates are regionally recognized and can be quite valuable when applying for more senior roles within the organization or outside.
