The ISO 10667-1/2:2011 is a brand-new international quality standard intended for the assurance of quality as well as maintaining continuous improvement in functional assessments processes dealing with job-related suitability evaluations, i.e., hiring and selection processes, potentials analysis, etc.
ISO 10667-1:2011 Assessment service delivery in Human Resource program establishes requirements and guidance for the client working with the service provider to carry out the assessment of an individual, a group, or an organization for work-related purposes.
The standard also gives example assessments that can be used, for example, for recruitment, restructures, outplacement or moral and culture initiatives.
ISO 10667 enables the client to base its decisions on sound assessment results. It will allow organizations to become more efficient users of assessment, making better hiring decisions and enhancing the potential, well-being and employee-organization fit of all their employees.

This standard is not tied to a particular type or range of industrial sectors, e.g., not only to human resources consultants, headhunting agencies, and can be used cross-sectoral.
It functions as practical guidance for both clients and service providers involved in the assessment delivery process. It describes their respective obligations and responsibilities before, during and after the assessment process. It also provides guidance on the rights and responsibilities of assessment participants and others involved in assessment procedures, including recipients of the assessment results.
ISO 10667 provides clear and concise guidance for providers of assessment services and the clients of assessment service providers to enable all stakeholders to realize the potential benefits of proper assessment practices.
This is achieved by:
